Wife Battering

Please friends read carefully and advice where necessary.  A woman came to me for counseling and told me this story.
My name is "name withheld". I live at Dutse area of Abuja with my husband and three children (a boy and two girls). My husband is a pastor and we run a ministry. We have been married for13 years. Our marriage has being a stormy one as he derives pleasure in beating and inflicting injuries on me.On several occasions he has threatened if I don't leave on my own volition, my people will come to carry my dead body. On this last occasion, my youngest brother whom he has stopped from visiting us was picked on the street very ill to the extent of vomiting blood by people in the neighborhood. I took him home and pleaded with my husband to let him rest for a while since I have called my sister to come take him to the hospital. Instead, he insisted that I leave our home the very moment or he will kill me.

Then the beaten started. All entreaties made by our landlord failed on deaf ears. He continued pounding me until our landlord alerted the neighborhood when he realized that the blood gushing out from the head was bound to overwhelm me. I later woke at the hospital the following morning. Now I have had enough. I can not continue again but, am turn between God's injunctio in The Bible and staying alive. More so, since our marriage was contracted on falsehood. He never told me he had a child out of wedlock until we got married. Even after marriage, he told about a son only for me to discover that he has 9 children from four different women excluding my three. While he has always brought a mistress home to live with him anytime he chases me away from home.

Foundation  is to a marriage what it is to a building. At the inception of a building project, the builder makes effort to solidify the building to guarantee durability. That is if the builder 's intention is for the building to stand the taste of time. A shaky foundation is used for a project of less importance.
